Make the famous one piece folding bookstand from André Roubo's "Art of the Joiner." Working with the "beau bois de noyer" (beautiful walnut!) we'll follow Roubo's step by step instructions both in translation and in the original French. We'll cut the wooden hinge with precise chiseling and then separate the leaves with an authentic French frame rip saw. The completed bookstand will be ready for finishing or decorative carving as you prefer. The Roubo bookstand requires precise layout and cutting, and may be best for the intermediate woodworker.
